While effective, these clichés rarely communicate personality. The goal was to create a brand that felt authentic, rugged, and deeply personal, something that would resonate across homeowners, commercial clients, and the broader community. This was not about blending in. It was about building trust through individuality.
STRATEGY:
The foundation began with a conversation. During our kickoff discussion, Therrien Electric repeatedly referenced skeletons, cowboy hats, and their patriotic nature, elements that spoke more to identity than industry. Rather than dismissing these as stylistic novelties, we leaned into them as strategic storytelling devices.By avoiding expected electrical imagery, the brand could stand apart while still communicating strength, reliability, and professionalism. The strategy was to build a visual identity that felt handcrafted, grounded, and enduring, much like the work itself.
CREATIVE SOLUTION:
What began almost jokingly as a skeleton reference evolved into the defining brand mark. The final identity system introduced a custom logo mark featuring a skeleton electrician in a cowboy hat. Rather than feeling gimmicky, the mark became symbolic of resilience, grit, and pride in one’s craft. It transformed into a memorable visual signature that clients immediately associated with the business.The typography leans into a rugged, vintage Americana influence, with strong vertical presence and controlled visual weight. A restrained black-and-white palette reinforces timelessness and versatility across business cards, work apparel, vehicle graphics, social media, and digital platforms. Subtle blueprint textures nod to the technical precision of the trade without overpowering the primary mark.
